About Me

¡Hola! I started my career in international education after an internship at the Foreign Service Institute and since then have taught in the classroom, the boardroom, and as an online teacher with students in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. I hold an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and a graduate degree in Education and Teaching from the School of Psychology at the Universidad Michoacana San Nicolás de Hidalgo. I am a member of the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals, Women in Cybersecurity, Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security, and Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu among others.

Cybersecurity Advocacy

I design learning materials in Spanish and English to raise awareness around cybersecurity best practices for businesses, as well as how to foster a culture of security on remote teams. I also speak on digital citizenship.

I serve as a mentor for the 2021 Cybersecurity Laboratory, one of two undergraduate mentorship programs funded courtesy of the U. S. Russia Foundation. The main goal of the Cybersecurity Laboratory is to help students develop skills applicable to sectors outside of academia.
