I love learning by doing, so I was really excited to join the Apple Professional Learning Providers in the Apple Teacher Creativity Champions held in Mexico City’s Tamayo Museum. The Apple Teacher Champions reminded me that I am only as creative as I allow myself to be and that I should always be willing to try something new or different in my teaching and learning.

After a tour of the museum, we competed as a team, working on different tasks using our iPads. We were challenged to create promotional material for students using the Clips iOs app. We also created a new logo for the museum, which personally I really liked; it is simple and includes the iconic column that stands just outside the museum.

Our proposal for a new Rufino Tamayo Museum logo, created using the Tayasui Sketches App.

I left the event full of ideas of how to incorporate different elements of the iPad in my teaching in a traditional classroom setting as well as with adult students. My next step is to organize an Everyone Can Create workshop for adults- be it, parents or corporate executives-I sincerely feel that we could all use a little more creativity in our lives.

How about you? Would you like to test your creativity using technology?
